1. They remain one of man's most important inventions.
Life without batteries would be a trip back in time: no cars, no radios, no phones, no game boys, no Microphones. Think 10th, 15th centuries. Too far back? Think Again.
3. Batteries come in different sizes, types, and for different uses.
Batteries like this are called primary batteries, dry cell batteries or non-rechargeable batteries. They cannot be recharged but they store more energy and last longer than rechargeable batteries.
They are also categorized into Alkaline, Zinc carbon and button batteries (for watches, calculators- sure you’ve seen them). Alkaline is far better than Zinc carbon.
In Nigeria and Africa, however, many people buy counterfeit batteries without even knowing so. Bad batteries are the surest way to reduce the lifespan of your electronic device. The next time you go to the market, order for only the best alkaline brands- like Gold Crownics- to enjoy true battery power.
And there are the rechargeable batteries too, just like this. Just as their names suggest, rechargeable batteries can be recharged once their battery power has been exhausted. They are either made of Lead acid, Nickel cadmium, Nickel-metal-hydride (NiMH) or Lithium-ion. (Keep following us for updates on this).
4. Bad batteries are harmful.
4. Bad batteries are harmful.
Bad batteries do not last. They leak occasionally and are harmful to you and to your environment. They also affect the performance of your electronic device in both the short and long term, forcing it to under perform, reducing your own performance on activities that matter the most to you.
Bad batteries can come in various sizes, shapes & even brands. Some bad batteries are simply cheap counterfeits of the original brands. Unfortunately, many in West Africa patronize producers of these bad products. Our research in 2017 showed that at least, half the traders in 2017 who sell counterfeit batteries are aware that their products are bad. Their reasons? One: the economy is hard and two: nobody would want to buy a more expensive, trustworthy brand over cheaper, counterfeits.
Other bad batteries are simply just bad. They are poorly made. Many times, they leak and do not last.
At CEMEX Int., we only sell authentic, trustworthy brands. Our Gold Crownics & Lite Way batteries have stood the test of time. We believe that there are those in Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast and throughout West Africa who only want the best for themselves and their devices.

5:.You must learn to care for your batteries or learn to lose them.
1. Turn off electronic devices, and remove the batteries, when they will not be used for a while to prolong its battery life.
2. Always store your batteries in a dry place.
3. Do not mix different brands in the same device
4. When batteries leak, you should not clean up the device or area with bare hands. Ensure you wear gloves, use glasses and soft materials- cotton, etc- to clean up.
5. When batteries leak in a device, be sure not to come in contact with the acid. Also, avoid any placement near the eyes.
6. Super Alkaline batteries- example, Gold Crownics- should, in the unlikely event of a leak, be cleaned with vinegar or lemon.
7. Your batteries must be stored in normal temperatures to preserve its lifespan. Extreme cold or heat would do just the opposite.
8. Never dispose your batteries in a fire.
6. You must pick the batteries that you buy with care.
Your battery is more than just a little metal thing. For this reason, you should select and buy only the right batteries for your devices. How do you know which battery is fake & which is real?
